Common questions
How do I open a folder?
Use File > Quick Open or press Command+O. You can also drag and drop a folder onto the PixiPile window.
How do I sort photos into folders?
Add destination folders with Command+Shift+D. Each destination gets assigned a number key (1-9). While viewing a photo, press the corresponding key to move it there instantly.
Can I undo a move?
Yes. Press Command+Z to undo the last move. Files sent to the Trash can also be restored from the macOS Trash.
Where does PixiPile store my data?
PixiPile is entirely local. Your photos stay on your Mac. Preferences and folder bookmarks are stored in the standard macOS app container. You can reset everything from the Help menu.
What file formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, GIF, WebP, BMP, and RAW formats supported by macOS (CR2, NEF, ARW, DNG, and others). Video formats include MP4, MOV, and M4V.
