PixiPile is a fast photo viewer for Mac, made by Media Lantern, Inc. It opens any folder with no import, no library, and no catalog, and lets you browse full-resolution photos and video at full speed.

What it does

Beyond viewing, PixiPile adds keyboard sorting to folders, duplicate detection, batch corrections, LUT color grading, and smart albums, so you can triage and organize a shoot without opening a heavier editor. It is free to use, with a one-time Pro purchase that unlocks the advanced tools.

How we think about it

PixiPile is built to be fast and to stay out of your way. It works directly from the folders you already have, so there is nothing to import and nothing to sync. Your photos stay on your Mac, and the app has no account and no sign-up.
